ABOUT US
Michiana Battery started in 1982. When first founded, we were simply a retailer selling new and reconditioned batteries. In the beginning, the store was located in Osceola, Indiana in essentially a "two car garage".
As the company grew, the original owners (Jeff and Bob) purchased the building at Sample St. & Fellows St., where we are currently at today. In the early 1990's, two brothers (Jim & Darin Sego) bought the business from Jeff. They looked to grow the Michiana Battery brand, so they decided to sell auto dealer supplies. It turned out to be a great decision. We currently serve over two hundred new and used car dealerships in the Michiana area.
In 2012, Jim decided it was time to retire. This is where "our" journey begins. My wife, Mellissa and I bought Michiana Battery and Auto Dealer Supply in the summer of 2012 and have ran our shop and customer route ever since. For the last several years, we expanded to selling our products online.
Our loyal customers have been coming back year-after-year and because of that, we have built many, many friends and relationships. Without our customers, we would not be where we are today and for that, we are humbly grateful.
